FFY 2009 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS
As the designated recipient of federal Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom (NF) Programs funds, the RTA released a “Call for Projects” on April 8, 2009 and applications were due on June 12, 2009. Thirteen applications were received. Locally, there was approximately $6.9 million available between the JARC and New Freedom Programs to fund projects. On October 15, 2009, the RTA Board approved the FFY 2009 Program of Projects (pdf) .
FFY 2008 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS
As the designated recipient of federal Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom (NF) Programs funds, the RTA released a “Call for Projects” on June 24, 2008 and applications were due on August 8, 2008. Nineteen applications were received. Locally, there was approximately $6.7 million available between the JARC and New Freedom Programs to fund projects. On October 23, 2008, the RTA Board approved the FFY 2008 Program of Projects (pdf).
FFY 2007 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS
As the designated recipient of federal Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom (NF) Programs funds, the RTA released a “Call for Projects” on January 11, 2008 and applications were due on March 20, 2008. Nine applications were received. Locally, there was approximately $5.7 million available between the JARC and New Freedom Programs to fund projects. The projects received the endorsement of the CMAP Human Services and Transportation Committees and the MPO Policy Committee. On June 19, 2008, the RTA Board approved the FFY 2007 Program of Projects (pdf).
FFY 2006 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS
As the designated recipient of the 2006 federal Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom (NF) Programs funds, the RTA initiated a collaborative planning process with the Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS), the Service Boards, and region-wide stakeholders to identify projects for the 2006 program.
A “Call for Projects” was released on August 11, 2006 and project applications were due on November 1, 2006. Twenty-six applications were received. Locally, there was approximately $5.1 million available between the JARC and New Freedom Programs to fund projects. The projects received the endorsement of the CATS Work Program Committee and the joint Community Mobility Task Force and the Task Force for Persons with Disabilities Committees. On December 15, 2006, the RTA Board approved the FFY 2006 Program of Projects (pdf).
